The first European Pediatric Resuscitation & Emergency Medicine Congress [PREM]

Carta de invitación del Comité Organizador:

Dear colleague,

We are delighted to invite you to the first European Pediatric Resuscitation & Emergency Medicine Congress [PREM]. This congress will take place 2-3 MAY 2013 in Ghent, Belgium.

A large international faculty and many interesting lectures and discussions await you. It is our aim to provide you, as emergency physician, pediatrician, anaesthetist or resuscitator with current knowledge and in depth understanding of pediatric resuscitation and emergencies.

This congress is organised by the departments of Pediatrics, Intensive Care, Anesthesiology and Emergency Medicine of the University hospital of Ghent, Belgium, in collaboration with several national societies and groups (BAPA, BRC, BVK, BESEDIM, SEUP, GFRUP, TSPEM, APEM) and endorsed by the ERC, EUSEM, ESA, ESPA and the EAP. Importantly, this congress will be an opportunity for you to meet up with colleagues from different background but with a same passion for pediatric emergencies and resuscitation. This may give rise to new ideas and friendships. The congress will take place in the beautiful city of Ghent, a fantastic place for a short holiday in spring. Not surprisingly, Ghent is called “the best kept secret in Europe”.

The congress itself will take place at the Bijloke, a medieval medical ward and school for medicine. It is easily accessible both from the city centre as directly by train or car. On this website you’ll find information both on mobility and directions, as regarding hotel accommodation. We would urge you not to delay both your congress registration, as well as your hotel registration. This will not only guarantee you best prices but also will help us a lot in the organisation of this congress.
Both an industry and a poster exhibition will be organised. Further information regarding this can be found under the specific tabs. We would strongly encourage you to submit abstracts to the congress. The best ten abstracts will get the opportunity to be presented within the regular congress tracks and will further be published in the European Journal of Emergency Medicine.

We hope we can welcome you to this existing new event; your presence and collaboration is important to us,

Childfriendly greetings,

Dr Patrick Van de Voorde

On behalf of the Local Organising & International Advisory Committee
